Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These books will help my students learn about print concepts by keeping them focused and entertained. They will help my multilingual students connect with stories and have fun while listening. It will help them gain background knowledge about different events and activities.
My students will practice skills like rhyming, counting words in sentences, and comprehension by listening to these stories.
They will be more engaged and remember better because of the fun stories. They will also be able to gain more words in English.
The majority of my students are multilingual students and come from low income homes. They do not have well-developed vocabulary or speaking skills. They also lack background knowledge in everyday situations. These stories will help close that gap and give my students a broader vocabulary knowledge. This will help improve their writing and reading.
