This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As school is approaching, we all are excited be back in the classroom and get our hands on books. I have been working extra hard the past years to get my students to become readers and enjoy reading while learning important life skills.

I believe if I have a good collection of stories to read to the kids while they are learning life lessons, they will want to continue to read on their own at home.

I will be reading these books to the kids, discussing each page and having them on our display cart for them to look at on their own as well. I have been playing read aloud books on Youtube for the kids to listen to, but it is not the same when their teacher isn't reading it. My classroom could always use some extra engaging books for the kids to shine in their reading! Reading is critical and books that interest them are key. The wobble stool is for the kids to read on so they are even more engaged!
