My Students

I teach an energetic group of 6th graders who love to learn. We are at a charter school where all students are known and cared for. We live in a diverse neighborhood and our school reflects that as we have a high population of English language learners.

It is my goal for all of my students to succeed no matter what struggles they go through.

We are currently working with the students half at home and half at school. I am constantly looking for ways for my students to interact with technology in new ways.

My Project

I love connecting students with books. When I was younger, I didn't enjoy reading. It was not until I had a friend who directed me to some good books that I started to get interested in reading. This changed my life for the better and made me a better student.

I want all of my students to turn into readers.

These books will spark my students' interests and help them to find books that they love.

I have a small library in my class already and every year I have books that go home with students. Those books are usually the most loved. These new books will help keep my collection to be fresh and interesting.
