My Project
Imagine a classroom where every child can enjoy reading a book in cozy reading space — where graphic novels create giggles, STEM stories spark experiments, and biographies inspire big dreams. This is the kind of library I want to create for my students.
I love my students’ curiosity and eagerness to learn; every day they bring unique experiences to the classroom from their diverse backgrounds.
They deserve books that will reflect their cultures, expand their horizons, and allow them to discover more about the world — and themselves. To support their love of learning, I am working to build a classroom library that reflects their interests and identities. With your help, we will add STEM-themed books to ignite their scientific thinking, multicultural stories to celebrate who they are, biographies to encourage them with real life heroes, and graphic novels to boost engagement and reading fluency. These are the kinds of books that make students feel seen and excited to turn the next page. Alongside these powerful texts, flexible seating will give my students a comfortable, inviting space to read and learn. Whether they prefer a beanbag, cushion, or a chair, students will have the freedom to choose a spot that helps them focus and feel at ease.
