Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work with 14 year old students who have gone above and beyond to ensure they do well in school even while a pandemic has made it difficult. They are respectful, they’re engaged, and overall great kids to work with! I know teaching under these circumstances isn’t ideal but with the students I have, they make it so worth it!

My Project

I’ve been trying to start a classroom library so that my students have a variety of options to choose from when it comes to independent reading time. Being able to add new books in my classroom library will hopefully spark an interest in my students’ reading habits!

I also included headphones on my wishlist because a lot of the time students don’t have, or will forget to bring their headphones to class so having some extra pairs to let my students use can really come in handy during independent work time.
