This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work with a great group of learners which include Early Start along with TK through fifth grade students. A large percentage of our students are eligible for free or reduced price lunch and are English Language Learners. My students are resilient, eager to learn, and benefit greatly from engaging, inclusive, and supportive learning environments tailored to their unique needs and strengths.

These books are important because exposure to books at an early age will help my students develop vocabulary, letter recognition, and comprehension skills, setting them up for future reading success.

Reading stimulates curiosity, imagination, and critical thinking, helping their young minds grow and understand the world around them. These books will teach empathy, patience, and social skills by introducing my students to diverse characters, emotions, and life lessons.
