This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

At my school, we have exceptionally talented and dedicated students who are willing to go the extra mile to have a dynamic and challenging music education. Our students may face very difficult situations at home and around them, but their willingness to persevere and their tenacity has set them apart. This is a group of exceptional music students.

Our music students have gone on to do great things in the community and in higher level music education.

We are honored to know that many of our scholars have received scholarships and high placement due to their work in music. We are very proud of their work and are excited to see what great things they will do this year. Music has done monumental things for our most at-risk youth. Let's help them continue their great work!

My Project

At our school we are dedicated to reaching all our students' needs and encouraging their development and natural inclination to learn. Music is essential in our pursuit to reach the individual needs of each student. Unlike most extra curricular activities, music is diverse and differentiated in its implementation. There are so many different instruments that can be played within a band and orchestra, which allows us to meet the needs of each student and give the individualism needed to succeed while working in a group. To do this, it is important that we have the basic resources like books.

These piano, trumpet, trombone, clarinet, cello and violin books will enable us to meet the learning needs of our growing music students.

Without these books our students cannot grow on their given instrument. It is our hope that by the end of this year, we can add even more students and instruments to our ensembles. Having these books will help us reach the needs of beginners and some of the most advanced students we have. Thank you so much for your support!
