Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a teacher, I strive to create a classroom environment where every child feels seen, valued, and empowered. One of the most powerful tools I have in shaping young minds is the books we read together. I believe that picture books with positive messaging are essential in helping students develop empathy, kindness, and resilience, which are vital life skills.

I am requesting a selection of picture books that promote positivity, inclusion, and self-confidence.

These books will feature stories of friendship, overcoming challenges, and embracing diversity. With your support, I will be able to introduce these uplifting books into our classroom library, where each child can experience the power of positivity through engaging, colorful illustrations and heartfelt narratives.

Reading these stories will not only improve literacy skills but will also inspire my students to be compassionate and confident individuals. By donating to this project, you’re helping to foster a generation of young readers who will carry these positive messages with them as they grow.
