This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work with amazing 3rd graders here in Brooklyn. Our classroom is an ICT setting. I hope to share some culturally diverse reads with my students as well have maniplulatives available to help them do their best. Since the beginning of the pandemic a lot of our classroom books were lost when schools such down. I hope to rebuild our classroom library with a few interesting and culturally relevant reads. Our class consists of general education as well as special education students who will really benefit from hands on manipulatives such as squeezable scissors to help them with their crafty projects and creative counting tools to help them build on these skills in a fun way.
