Books and Tools for My ELL's

Help me give my students books and supplies to enrich their experience at school. I work in a poor district with 93% percent living in poverty, my school is 60% black or latino. We would love your support!

My Project

My students are ages 5-6 and in a very poor district. 93% live below the national poverty level. Their basic needs are always in question so my goal is to make my classroom the best it can be, function and materials. We need basic things like good paper for making art, a pencil sharpener, but most of all we need physical books to send home.

The reason I would like to get books into the hands of my students is that heir parents do not speak English for the most part so books are not common in their homes.

My hope is to introduce books that will lead them to a lifelong love of books.
