My Project
One hundred percent of the students at our school are from low-income families and qualify to receive free lunch. Furthermore, our students need our help by providing them with textbooks, writing utensils and post-it notes to allow them the opportunity to maximize their learning. I try to make our French lessons varied and engaging to reach all of my students and to teach them the four skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking in French, as well as francophone culture.
Last year was more challenging for many reasons, but now that we're back to normal from remote learning, students need as many opportunities as possible to help them learn.
The problem is the lack of funding to help with these basic supplies. From textbooks to writing utensils, we need all the help we can get. Many of the supplies that I'm requesting, I have been providing myself so the kids don't have to go without.
