All of my students enjoy reading on their own, but we do not have enough interesting and enjoyable books in our classroom library for them to choose from. All of my students are reading 1-2 grade levels below grade level and engaging books in our classroom library would be crucial to my students working towards higher reading achievement.
During COVID-19, my students did not have access to books in our school library.
They have shown a lot of excitement recently and these books would give them the opportunity to gain new skills, knowledge, and hobbies. All of these books were specifically picked based on the interests of my students.
In our classroom, there are students with different behaviors needs. Based on this the fidgets would be essential to support their learning and self-regulation skills. The fidgets support my students take break when they are feeling angry or overwhelmed. They also help my students focus during learning.
