Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students are special due to the many diverse backgrounds we are all from. Our school encompasses a variety of cultures from all over the Northern hemispheres. We are all special because we speak a universal language in our school garden. As a student or parent, or a staff member, we all are able to speak a universal language when in the garden. This is what makes us a united and special school. Because our students need extra prompting to read, it makes me become creative as an educator. As I try to create new and exciting ways to read, I find new environments to take my students away!
My Project
Our students come from a variety of backgrounds, each having its own opinion about education. Trying to get my students excited about reading is a hard job for me as an educator, yet if I offer a better selection of books (Let''s Look at Pigeons, and Don't Fidget A Feather) to them it helps me with my quest. I hope with this project, if it is funded, to entice my students with a fresh variety of choices to fire up their interest in reading. I try to provide many varieties of stimulus for my students, yet if the material offered is not exciting, the interest is low. WE need a fresh start!
