My Project
Many of the students at my school, do not have access to literature in their homes. These books will go in our book vending machine for students to choose from when they exhibit our school expectations: respectfulness, organizational skills, acceptance, and responsibility.
Often times, students have assignments to complete reading logs or book reports, but do not always have access to books of their choosing, but having a choice in the books they want to read for school and for pleasure will allow them to have access to the materials they need for learning while also being able to get lost in the books they read.
My students are going to LOVE the Magna-Tiles Downhill Duo set! They will be able to explore the motions of push and pull while becoming mesmerized at the effect the light has on the Magna-Tiles at the light table. This set will allow my students to use their imagination while taking on a hands-on approach to math and science.
The markers and laminating film will be used to extend the life of the printable activities the students use on a daily basis. For example, laminating our write and wipe cards allows the students to use them over and over again.
