Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Third-grader (Noun) \ˈthərd grā-dər\ - Someone who is a mathematician, reader, writer, artist, scientist, dancer, leader, explorer, and friend. - Someone who needs access to technology, high-quality books and an inclusive place to learn.
My third graders are curious and they try hard - really hard.
They love to read, write, explore, and find answers to questions. Did you know that they are also bilingual, bicultural, and biliterate? They speak, read, and write in two languages, English and Spanish. That also means that during the school day, they learn in both languages.
My Project
One computer MEANS the world to a child who cannot yet access complex books (books beyond their ability). Did you know that we can understand much more complex texts when we listen to them? That is right! Imagine what listening to a book can mean to a child with reading challenges.
This Chromebook will allow my students to access audio books.
But there is more to this Chromebook. This project will allow me to introduce Google Classroom to my students and teach research skills. We will be able to work on math, slides, and so much more.
