Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I want to add books about our environment and how we can care for it to our school library's collection!
These books will allow my students to learn about our environment and how they can help to take care of it!
I think my students will really enjoy reading these books and I hope that they will be inspired to help protect our Earth!
Our school library had been neglected for many years. Most of the books in the library were 20-plus years old. My goal for this year is to have a collection of 8,000 books for our 700 students. I also want to drop the average age of the books to 10 years. Having a full and updated library collection will inspire more students to check out and read books.
