This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I want to add books that will support grieving students to our school library's collection.

The books that I chose are about grief, loss, and healing.

Our school library had been neglected for many years. When the library was reopened in 2022 after being closed for several years, most of the books in the library were over 20 years old. My goal for this year is to add 1,000 books to our library's collection. I also want to drop the average age of the books to 10 years. Having a full and updated library collection will inspire more students to checkout and read books.
