My Project
Children with diverse brains often struggled with social and learning skills during the pandemic. Relearning how to be a friend, how to learn by reading, and how to solve problems are very real challenges for my students this year.
Scaredy Squirrel and Owly experience many of the same challenges and model how to survive and thrive, teaching kids how to do the same.
Putting these books into my students' hands will help them understand our daily lessons on being a successful friend and student. It's so much easier to relate to a fictional character with the same issues, and these books have helped many children over the years. Sadly, I had to leave them at my last school.
