My Project
One of the most important, yet most difficult, aspects of running a school library is teaching students to take good care of their library books. We need to keep the books in good condition so that more students will have a chance to read them, and we also need students to return books on time as well.
A library skills incentive program helps students learn to care for their library books.
Students earn points as they return books in good condition and on time. As students earn more and more points, they earn fun little incentives and prizes -- a positive behavior system!
A variety of interesting bookmarks serve as fun little incentives to keep my students motivated, and to help them remember to bring their books back to the library/
