My Students

I have an amazing group of 25 caring, inquisitive, and very energetic students. Throughout our day, we can be mathematicians, engineers, writers, readers, and scientists! I try and support the unique learning style of each student, and believe that if they feel comfortable in our classroom they will be able to grow and learn in amazing ways.

Creating a welcoming and supportive learning environment for all of my students will allow them to work to their full potential.

Students relish the opportunity to choose their own learning space. By allowing students to make choices in how they approach different activities at school they learn to self-regulate, take responsibility for their learning and becoming more confident learners.

My Project

The power of a good book can open doors to new worlds and new learning opportunities. Our students are eager to learn and what better way to reward our students than with a prize from a vending machine. This is not your typical vending machine! This special vending machine is filled with something much healthier for the brain.... BOOKS! Our school is filled with students eager to read and this book vending machine will give ALL of our students the power to choose that just right book. The vending machine will be used as a school-wide incentive, where students can earn a special golden token for the book vending machine in a variety of positive ways. Students can earn the golden token for reaching reading goals, positive behavior, academic growth, work ethic and good character. The possibilities are endless! The vending machine will be filled with a variety of book from different genres and leveled readers to meet our students' reading needs. Once a student receives a golden token, they will place the token in the vending machine and pick a book. Students will be able to keep the book and take it home to add to their own personal library.
