"Take care of our books!" I told my students, holding up a torn book out of the pile. We don't have enough book bins and many books were scattered around. No wonder some were ripped and some were buried underneath. We need a decent library center for these young first graders.
These first graders try their very best at a Title I school in Oregon with more than 85% of its population below poverty.
The school has high ESL enrollment. It's rich in multi-culture and enthusiasm, but in need of much support from people like you.
My Project
We need 40 book bins to contain all the books we have. Some were from used-book stores. Some were collected through the years and donated by people like you. We want to protect these books and store them appropriately. We also need to have a set of labels to label the book bins. Then we would have an organized library that's accessible and friendly.
The whole book corner in my classroom is a little chaotic now.
My students are not benefiting from a messy library. Your donation will save us and a library will help these students learn. I need help. We need help. Please help!
