1. Project Overview:

Book Study for Incarcerated Young Men

Objective: To engage and empower incarcerated young men through the reading and discussion of Nathan McCall's "Makes Me Wanna Holler," a memoir detailing the life of a young man's journey through mistakes, incarceration, and redemption.

Duration: 8 weeks

2. Goals and Objectives:

Foster a safe and supportive environment for participants to explore themes of personal responsibility, resilience, and redemption.

Encourage critical thinking, empathy, and self-reflection through group discussions and activities.

Provide participants with tools and strategies for personal growth and development.

Promote a sense of community and camaraderie among participants.

3. Project Activities:

Week 1: Orientation and Introduction

Introduce the book "Makes Me Wanna Holler" by Nathan McCall.

Provide an overview of the project goals and structure.

Establish group norms and guidelines for respectful discussion.

Distribute copies of the book to participants.

Weeks 2-7: Weekly Reading and Discussion Sessions

Each week, participants will read assigned chapters of the book independently.
