Book Storage!

My Students

I teach such an incredible group of 2nd graders in a charter school with a rigorous academic curriculum. These students are working hard on their reading comprehension, and I'm adding more books to my library every day. Unfortunately, we don't have the storage we need!

"It is impossible to feel alone, in a room full of favorite books." I adore watching my students brighten up and change as they really dive in to the stories they read.

My Project

I absolutely LOVE reading, and I teach my students to love it as well. Their favorite fast finisher activity is reading. In order to encourage that in a safe space, I'd like some new bookshelves for my classroom.

The majority of my current bookshelves are old and wobbly, making them unsafe.

I would love to have bright, new bookshelves with additional space so I can continue to grow my classroom library. I only have two smaller bookshelves so my books are crammed in, rather than being organized in an appealing way that makes sense to me and to my students.
