it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I've been teaching English as a Second Language in the Chicago area for over twenty years, and throughout my career, I've found that incorporating art projects really enhances the learning experience. Recently, we wrapped up some book projects where students designed T-shirts or used upcycled materials like pizza boxes, grocery bags, and cereal boxes to create innovative displays for the books they chose.
Since we started these art projects in our English class, students have really taken ownership of our learning community.
Having access to art supplies will help engage all our learners, especially those who are artistic and enjoy creating with their hands. We truly appreciate your support in our community's efforts!
