My students need books to take home to read each night!
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Wright's classroom raised $292

My Students
Imagine not having a book to read. For some of my students, this is their life. I strive to send a book home each night with my students. Having plastic envelopes will help keep the books safe. The books will be rotated through all the students.
My students are eager to learn and come from homes where the only reading they may get is at school.
Help them to read books while they learn about animals. Mastering the art of reading non-fiction is a hard task and something we are focusing on in our class this year, and years to come!
My Project
We encourage our students to read for 20 minutes every night. Can you believe if you read for 20 minutes a night for the 13 years you are in K-12, you read for more than 762 hours...and that is just on school days! The only thing is..you have to have a book to read!
There is a great quote by Mark Twain - "If you can't make mistakes, you can't make anything." It is similar to a life without the knowledge and joy of reading.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
