This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Everyone loves a good theme, even the students! By having themed books for each month students will be able to look forward to the special books only offered during that month. They will be able to explore the different themes through reading these books. Some of the themes will include weather, insects, Valentines and Summer Vacation to name a few. This will bring excitement to each month as new books with new exciting themes will become available.

Students often loose interest in reading, but by bringing in new books each month they will have something to look forward to and bring excitement back into reading.

I want my students to find enjoyment in reading and love it as much as I do. By doing monthly books the students will become excited as a new month arrives. The new months arrival will bring a new theme and new and exciting books that haven't been on the shelf yet! This will bring excitement back into reading and keep the students surprised with new books to read each month.

My students are at the age where reading is just starting to become fun for them. They are beginning to understand stories and characters. I want them to enjoy reading and find excitement within each book and page. This project will help them have excitement when reading and help them become active readers.
