My Project

I teach a group of amazing, determined students with special needs. Many of them face challenges with reading, including decoding, phonemic awareness, and fluency. Despite these struggles, they show up every day eager to learn and grow.

What we need now is a cozy, well-stocked Book Nook—a dedicated reading space filled with engaging, phonics-based books that meet my students exactly where they are.

The right books can open the door to literacy for children who struggle—and right now, we simply don’t have enough of them.

I’m asking for your help to provide:

    •    Decodable books designed for early and struggling readers

    •    Comfortable seating to create a calming reading area

    •    Visual aids and tools to support independent learning

    •    Organizational bins and book displays

Your donation—no matter the size—will directly support students who learn differently and need a little extra support to thrive. Together, we can give them the resources and encouragement they need to fall in love with reading.
