My Students

Hi! We are located in the heart of Kailua, Oahu. We are a Title I school with a high population of ELL students coming from all over the world.

My students walk into the classroom with big smiles on their faces ready to learn.

Our faculty and staff provide all types of wonderful activities for our students to make learning fun. We have art, music, PE, and an excellent maker space where the students build and program LEGO robots with partners.

My Project

As my 2nd graders continue to grow as readers I am determined to create a comfortable place where they can enjoy reading their good fit books in comfort. I want them to have a clean, colorful, and creative area to go and be able to read quietly to themselves. The main items I'm asking for are a couch with storage baskets and a portable display bookshelf. My wish is by having this space they will fall in love with reading and become life long readers. Not only picking up books because they have to read but picking up books because they want to read. Learning that reading can take them places they have never been before.
