This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help my students foster their love of reading by giving them access to more books. In middle school, reading is essential to success in all subjects. It also allows students to escape reality for a bit. With the rise of social media, this is as important as ever.
A majority of my students are English learners, and many qualify for free or reduced lunches.
They are hard workers and have the biggest hearts. We have focused on our reading skills all year. By providing our classroom with more books, there are more opportunities for students to find the books and genres that they love!
