Book Fair Bonanza

Help me give my students fun items to keep and take home during our school wide free book fair.

My Project

The students at my Title One school are extremely diverse and eager to learn. Each year we purchase a large amount of books to give our students the book fair experience. We set up the books as if they were shopping in a Barnes and Noble. Each student gets to choose three or four books to take and keep. They are so excited for the chance to "shop" and that they get to keep and bring these books home. This year, I would love to give them backpacks to put these new books in and some fun pencils and bookmarks to make their experience complete.

These extra items will help my students to truly experience and enjoy the book fair.

They will also enhance engagement and promote literacy.

The library is not just a place where students feel safe and free to read books of their choice, but it is also a place of innovation where students can use their imaginations to create. My students are thoughtful, smart, and imaginative. I want to give them the best experience that most closely resembles what a book fair is like and these items will help me to do that.
