Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have third graders in my classes who are yet to develop love for reading and books. Some of them feel like it is a chore to read long paragraphs and then answer the given questions later.
I believe that this book stand in my classroom will help me show them good quality books that would spark their interests.
Most of them are drawn to books based on visuals and the bookcover.
I plan to think of something that can help that improve and develop their love for reading like books of the week. I'll reward the ones who get to finish them. This can help spark their curiosity and interest in how books help people learn new things. I want to try here so that I no longer need to use out-of-pocket money for this.
