My Project

This project aims to enhance students' exposure to various book genres, allowing them to empathize with characters and understand their life experiences. By providing access to well-written books that are captivating and challenging, we can foster critical thinking skills related to characters, character traits, setting, and plot. Students will read books from multiple genres, including fiction, non-fiction, fantasy and historical fiction. This variety will not only keep them engaged but also encourage them to explore different perspectives and cultures. Students will do a number of book talks, projects, and activities to encourage higher-order thinking when reading these books.

Please support my 5th-grade students in gaining access to these exceptional books, which will aid in developing their reading skills and expanding their vocabulary.
