My Students
My fourth graders are an amazing group of educational warriors that I love being challenged by every day!
Their MOST treasured part of the school day is BOOK CLUB!
During this period of time, my sweethearts LOVE to go to a happy place, relax, and read. It sounds so basic, but there is nothing more that my class enjoys than cuddling up on the rug with every child having their own copy of the same book in their hands!
My Project
Data shows that the more students read, the more successful they are in all academic areas. The best way to encourage students to read is by taking the time to read together. There is nothing like the POWER of each child having the same book as the teacher reads and makes connections. The kids LOVE discussing what we are reading and applying to their real world social and emotional struggles.
Books are the doorway to endless possibilities!
