Book Club Basics

My Project

This year our classroom of 25 avid readers would love to start a read aloud book club. Book club will be another opportunity for students to have literacy discussions outside of guided reading groups or independent reading time.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Matilda are perfect mentor texts as we build on how to be imaginative and descriptive story tellers.

These are the perfect stories to study characters, theme, and vocabulary.

It is my hope every student is able to obtain a copy and “membership” to our class book club!
