This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

With this project, I am hoping to provide my students with some of the newest and best releases in elementary/intermediate age books by incorporating them into my classroom library.

It is my intention to provide them with books that they would consider high-interest as well as relevant to their lives and experiences.

I am finding that students are lacking the stamina to finish books from beginning to end. If they are genuinely invested in these stories, it is my hope that reading will become something they choose to do for enjoyment.
