Book Buddy and Book for each student

Help me give my students "A Book Buddy and Book for Every Student!"

My Project

As the school year comes to a close, I would love to send my students off with a special gift that will encourage their love for reading and create lasting memories. My goal is to provide each student with their own book and stuffed animal as a "Book Buddy." My school is a Title One school, and this would be a blessing to each child.

These Book Buddies will not only encourage independent reading but will also provide comfort and companionship, helping foster a lifelong love of stories.

The stuffed animal will be a tangible friend that they can "read with," while the book will spark their imagination and creativity. I’m hoping to fund 20 sets of books and stuffed animals.

By providing each student with their own Book Buddy, I want to help create positive associations with reading and provide them with an activity they can enjoy at home over the summer. I believe this thoughtful gift will be something my students cherish long after the school year ends.

How It Will Benefit Students:

Building Emotional Connections: The stuffed animals will provide a sense of comfort and companionship as they read, especially for students who may not have their own "reading buddy" at home. They’ll have someone to cuddle with while they dive into their books.

Encouraging Independent Reading: Having a book that is theirs to keep (along with a stuffed animal) encourages students to read at home, developing strong reading habits. It’s a great way to make reading more fun and personal.

Creating Special Memories: This special gift will allow students to remember their year in a personal way. The combination of a story and a stuffed animal will become a keepsake that can remind them of their learning journey.
