This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The materials and supplies I am requesting are to encourage independence in my students by providing marketable vocational skills. Book binding is a process requiring focus, manual dexterity and implementing a sequence of steps to create a successful outcome. These are all areas we are presently working on and need to refine.
My special needs students are between 18 and 21 years old and we are looking forward to them transitioning to a bright and happy future.
We can only do this with skill sets that we know employers would seek.
