My Students

As a reading specialist, I have the privilege of teaching struggling readers in several grades. Many of my students are ENL, and they are in the process of learning the English language.

When my students smile, it brings the greatest feeling of joy.

I know they will succeed and love the work I provide.

My Project

Distance learning has definitely put a strain on my students and their families, not to mention me. Supplies are just difficult for my children to acquire during this difficult time in history. It is just not that simple to run out to a store and pick up the notebooks, pencils and more that they need.

Imagine the relief on a families faces when they receive these wonderful supplies to help with the learning experience.

Notebooks and pencils are very basic, but when you are at home they are in short supply. I want my children to be able to journal write and they just simply can't find paper and pencils.

I thought a book bag would keep all their supplies in one spot.
