This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Small group math and reading rotations are a scheduled time where students can independently practice the skills that are taught during whole group lesson. This time also allows for me to meet with a small group of students (4-6 students at a time) to work on differentiated instruction and student needs. Most of our students have never been in any type of school setting prior to kindergarten. Kinder is a fun and exciting grade to teach!
I want to give my kinder students fun, educational resources, book bags to store their leveled readers in, and recordable buttons to help my students succeed!
My goal every day is to help all of my students to excel and make growth! Your support of this project will help me to get printable resources from Teachers Pay Teachers. This website is a great tool used to get activities that help support the needs of students. Teachers Pay Teachers offers resources that are standard-based, and that allow me to be able to get differentiated independent work for my students. I will be utilizing the book bags to help my students keep their leveled reader books in one place and take care of them using the book bags. When the book bags are not being used, the students will hang them back on the storage rack for safe keeping! The recordable buttons will be used to record directions for each station. Often times as students rotate through the stations, they will forget directions that I previously gave for completing each station. The buttons will allow them to listen to the directions again for a quick reminder of how to successfully complete the station, rather than interrupting my small group.
