My Students
Our school is one of the biggest in our district. We have a total of 7 second grade classes. With a school this big, our population is extremely diverse. Our school is located along the coastline in a small, rural town. We have very low economic families in our community. But these children are always eager to learn and ready to over come obstacles. I want to help these children go even further and really push themselves. Your donations will make that dream possible for my classroom.
My Project
My students use their whiteboards and markers daily in my classroom either in a small group, individually, or whole group setting. To use these whiteboards, they need working dry erase markers, but I constantly hear "My marker won't write!" in our classroom and these markers are not cost-effective for me or environmental friendly.
Instead of purchasing more markers, I would like to introduce Boogie Boards in our classroom.
Boogie Boards will eliminate the need for whiteboards and dry erase markers which are so quickly used up.
By using the Boogie Boards, I will still be able to have my students do the same types of activities in an eco-friendly way. As an added bonus, my students will love using them as they are much more "hi-tech" than the whiteboards. I can not wait to see the excitement in my students' eyes as they use this new piece of technology!
