Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a close group that gets along well. They have families that try very hard to do their best with the situation given them. Many of my students are emotionally disadvantaged and do not know how to cope with their feelings. They need someone to believe in them and encourage them to do their best in whatever they decide to accomplish in their home, community, or school life. Simply put, they need a cheerleader to say, "You can do it!"
My Project
I see the boogie board e-writers as an essential tool for learning in all subject areas. Instead of lap white boards with the dry erasers drying out, we can use the e-writers to solve math equations and practice writing sentences, by expanding a sentence like "I can jump." We can change the sentence to "I can jump high." or "I can quickly jump up." In math, we can expand the number 27 to 20 + 7 or say 2 ten 7. The boogie board e-writers can expand their writing experiences to a new level that they may not have thought of.
