Boogie Down in Kindergarten!

My Project

I work in a Title One, K-8 school in Arizona and I am requesting a class set of writing tablets for my classroom. Below I will outline how the Boogie Board tablets will benefit our classroom academically, socially, and emotionally.

Our classroom becomes a safe place for many of my students.

Some want to learn and others need social and behavioral support as they grow. If a student is unable to express how they feel, it is easier for them to draw a picture. The tablet is quick to grab and give to the student in crisis allowing the teacher to help get the student the support needed.

With these writing tablets, my class will be able to make quicker transitions, which allow for more learning time to happen and less disruption by picking up their board and sitting down. No more dry markers, sticky erasers, or cracked whiteboards. Having the pen attached to the board makes it perfect for the classroom. Pushing a button to erase quickly is ideal.

These boards would be used during reading, writing, and math time each day. It is a quick way for me to assess how well the students grasped the new concept and where I need to go back and reteach. My goal is to give the students a different way to practice writing and have 100% classroom participation. When the students are excited and engaged in the learning, the lessons are amazing!
