Boogie, Boogie, Boogie!Boogie Board Writing In Kindergarten!

My students need boogie board writing tools in order to practice writing throughout the school year. We will use these writing tools during reading groups when we focus on new words and during reading centers.

My Students

This year, my kindergarten class is composed of 15 boys and 11 girls. All of my students are excited about our year in kindergarten and meeting new friends. We spent the first month of school learning routines and getting to know one another.

The boys and girls in our classroom enter each day with a motivation to try new things in order to learn more.

My students have an energy for learning that motivates me in my teaching each day. I am excited to watch all the changes each child will make this year in kindergarten.

My Project

Writing and reading words are two of the biggest learning jobs of our kindergarten students. We use paper/pencil to write; as well as, dry erase boards/markers. In order to expand our resources for learning, our students need Boogie Boards to practice writing words each day during guided reading groups and reading centers.

I like to think of the Boogie Board as a modern etch-a-sketch.

The coolest thing about it is that your child can write words and automatically erase just by pressing a button. We won't have to worry about erasing with pencils, losing marker tops or dried out markers, or wasting time with the management of all of those materials.
