My Students
My students attend school at a Title I school, so a majority of the students come from families with low incomes. Some of them are learning English as their second language and having hands-on and very visual learning experiences are best to really help them get the vocabulary and be successful as they are in the later years of elementary school.
My students are full of excitement about learning and love coming to school!
The students I work with are full of great questions and really care about doing their best. Some of them are dealing with some challenges in life, but they are all wonderful kids and a joy to work with!
My Project
I have a few Boogie Boards in my classroom right now and the students absolutely love using them. They use them in small groups during math, and I have them do writing on them as well. The students get so excited to do a few extra math problems when they get to do it on a Boogie Board and it is a great way for me to check for understanding.
Boogie Boards help us waste less paper or white board markers which would be the alternatives for them to write on.
The technology is simple, long lasting, and makes learning more fun for the kids!
