Help me give my students a new skeleton. Our current skeleton is broken and missing many body parts. We refer to the skeleton on a daily basis and are badly in need of a new one.
This is an amazing Career and Technical Center with wonderful high school age students from lower income district. Our students attend our full time comprehensive school programs because they want to. I teach a Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Certification program. The students become CNA's and then are able to enter the work force. We need all types of equipment for our class room. We have a simulated hospital room for the students to practice in on a daily basis. All of our equipment is donated and we have used it for many years. Some of our equipment is outdated and non mechanical. I am fairly new to the program and I purchase many things out of my own pocket.
My Project
Our skeleton has fallen apart. His name is Eddie Bones. Our Health Assisting class needs a new skeleton desperately. We use it every day and he has no arms. A large portion of our theory is anatomy based. This tool will enable us to visualize what we are learning on a whole new level.
Learning the skeletal system is one of the most loved units that we study during the year and this will only enhance the lesson.
Please help our class. We have repaired our current model so many times and our custodians said that he cannot be fixed again. Thank you so much!
