In our middle school physical science class, we spend time learning about atoms and how elements form molecules. These sets are highly engaging and students learn about organic and inorganic compounds. Water, carbon dioxide, methane are a few of the important ones, but modeling glucose really brings a sense of achievement and big smiles.
I have a some sets already, but one set per pair of students is ideal for student engagement.
