I work at a wonderful public elementary school in Illinois.
I teach first grade and have met many of the students that I will be teaching next year. I am excited about the upcoming school year and all of the new lessons and activities that I have planned for my students.
My Project
I am asking for a set of Circle Time posters that includes the cd with rhyming songs and a learning center literacy set. The circle time posters/songs will teach students months of the year, the alphabet, numbers and more. Each song features simple, memorable rhymes set to the tune of a familiar children’s song, so it’s super-easy for kids to sing along and remember each rhyme! The learning center set comes with a set of famous children literature books with activities.
These two items will help build students rhyming skills, alphabet and number recognition.
Students will also become familiar with various famous children literature books that will assist in learning how to create sight word sentences, sequencing, and build essential language skills.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
