Help me give my students the ability to be successful in their learning! The wiggle stools and elastic bands will drastically help improve my students' focus.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I believe strongly that students should have supports in the classroom that help them feel successful! By allowing them the space to wiggle, bounce, and move in a safe way in the classroom, many students are given a stronger ability to focus on what they are learning. I plan to place the wiggle stools at my back table, and students can take them whenever they feel like they need a movement break! Each student’s chair will be given an elastic band that they can bounce, kick, and stretch all day long. For some students, it is so challenging to sit still or in chairs for an extended amount of time- so why not give them the opportunity to move AND learn? The paper centers will help keep us organized.
