Bocce to Build Skills for Special Olympics

My students need an indoor Bocce set to practice for Special Olympics.

My Students

One game that all students regardless of skill level can enjoy is Bocce.

I teach elementary physical education in a Title I school to about 600 students.

I also teach 20 special needs students. Some of these students are mainstreamed into my general education classes and the others come together in a small group setting. These students are very loving and enjoy moving in my class but need equipment that is developmentally appropriate.

My Project

The indoor Bocce would be a great addition to my classes. My students will be able to work on their throwing skills and practice for Special Olympics. These resources will allow me to provide small group lessons where students will learn the game of Bocce and target accuracy.

Because my responsibility is for all students to succeed, I must adapt my lessons and provide activities that not only improves skill levels but boost confidence.

This equipment will support learning for all students and increase my students' excitement level.
