Help me give my students board games to reinforce reading, math, and social skills learned within our Special Education Classroom.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Van Treese's classroom raised $962

My Project
In my special needs classroom for students with Autism, we need games to reinforce concepts being taught for reading and math, but also social skills that they tend to need more instruction in.
Playing board games such as Pay Day helps children learn the value of money and how to interact socially while playing the game.
Many students with Autism struggle with reading comprehension, by utilizing games we can keep students interested while learning those valuable skills. Learning appropriate ways to interact with others in the Friends and Neighbors game provides various situations students may find themselves in at some point.
My goal is to instill skills, both academic and behavioral, to ensure students can be successful. Reinforcing through hands-on learning is key to that success.
